Dementia

At Peachtree Adult Day Care Center  we specialize in caring for people with any type of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, with dementia-tailored activities and staff who are specially trained in the disease. We provide a safe environment for the elders, with safety features in place to handle wandering and other behaviors that are common among Alzheimer’s and other dementia patients. Our staff is trained to provide these participants with daily activities, exercise and socialization that are tailored to elders with Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia. Boredom, depression, wandering and anxiety are only some of the symptoms that the Alzheimer’s patient feels and here, at Peachtree adult Day Care, we encourage them to participate in the activities, we show them movies, play simplified games specifically aimed at stimulation without frustration. Our goal is to make the elder’s day seem more meaningful and continue to feel independent with a high self-esteem, improving their mental and physical health.
